About Krishan Nagda
Dr. Krishan Nagda graduated from the University of Louisville in 1996. He completed his residency at the University of Kentucky in 1999. In 2001 Dr. Nagda founded Central Florida Inpatient Medicine, which is currently one of the largest independent Hospitalist groups in the state of Florida. The practice has grown from two providers to over 135+ providers in an integrated health delivery network that has over 400,000 patient encounters in 2016.
Dr. Nagda’s engineering background has allowed him to contribute greatly to the technological advances that CFIM has been able to make over the past several years in regards to connecting all the different entities involved in a patient’s hospital stay. CFIM’s comprehensive communication tool was founded on his basic principal that communication is key to efficient and high quality patient care.
Dr. Nagda’s focus for the past few years has been building strong relationships with ACOs, Medicare Advantage Plans and their associated IPA/MSO’s that are in the Central Florida market. Implementation of thorough communication processes allowing for optimal transition of patient care between the hospital, skilled nursing and primary care offices has reduced readmissions to less than 10%.
Dr. Nagda was also the co-founder and served as the Chief Medical Officer for Medicare Advantage Health Plan. Currently he is CEO of Spectrum Medical Partners leading providers of acute and post acute services in the southeast US
